I’ve always wanted to name a bull Chickamauga, but I knew it had to be the right one. He had to reflect the kind of phenotype we’ve been breeding toward for decades. His pedigree needed to stack the right cows—top and bottom. And most importantly, he had to be a bull worthy of carrying the breed forward.

After 30 years of stacking elite females into pedigrees, we’re proud to introduce TJB Chickamauga 4103M.

Chickamauga is backed by six generations of TJB donor cows on the maternal side and three on the sire’s side. He represents the most complete, impressive bull ever produced under the TJB brand. His masculine design is wrapped in an attractive, eye-catching package. His width, depth, and muscle expression are nothing short of elite—he’s packed full of red meat. Even more impressive is what’s under him—an exceptional foot structure. Every toe points north, the kind of feet that are built for longevity. 

Far too often, the industry gets swept up in chasing EPD trends. While 4103M may not dominate every column on paper, his balanced profile is exactly what we breed for. He ranks in the top 20% for Weaning Weight and top 30% for Yearling Weight, offering honest, usable numbers without sacrificing the kind of phenotype that moves a program forward.

He’s the result of blending the most impressive female in our herd—TJB 954G—with our elite sire, TJB Rebel Yell. 954G has been admired by cattlemen across breed lines who instantly recognize her as a next-level female. She’s the kind of cow you build around, and one we will not widely market daughters from. Embryo sales from 954G will be very limited—the best way to access her genetic power is through her sons. She is a cow made to produce herd sires.

Although nearly 50% of our cow herd traces back to the Anissa family, we will be breeding and flushing a large portion of our top females to Chickamauga. We believe strongly in what he can do—not just for our herd, but for the breed. Semen sales on Chickamauga are closed until the fal of 2027.
