Vickie Vail was purchased from Beartooth Ranch in 1997, but we first laid eyes on her during a ranch visit back in 1991. She was an exceptional Gelbvieh female, so striking that her image was even used by the AGA to promote the Gelbvieh cow. At the time, we had no idea just how much of an impact she would have on our program. Fast forward to our post-dispersal era, and it’s clear—her progeny have become the cornerstone of our original cow families. They excel in growth, structural soundness, and undeniable eye appeal. Every one of our Vanessa's, Velvet's, and Vickie Vail's traces back to X1, proving just how significant her influence has been.
